Do you ever just stop and admire the lines?

Whenever I park, I always seem to look back at the car and admire the lines.

Maybe I'm nuts but it puts me in a good mood when I see the lines.

Same here.

Keeps me motivated to keep wheels clean, too.

I always look back at my car whenever I park. Favourite view is looking at it head on, that grill and wheelbase looks so aggressive

My wife usually beats me when Iam checking out the lines, OH that`s those other lines .

X2, I like looking across the long hood and admire the star, and appreciate I can. the newer cars everything just drops off past the dash board.

I admire is so much I almost run off the road, and expecially when I pass another on the road. My wife see`s them before I do, she has a good eye.

The germans had some good designers back then.

I do the same. I love parking in front of stores with all-glass storefronts and seeing the front of the car, with myself in it. Very vain, but my past cars never made me look this good.

Me too!

I always say "Sweet wagon" when returning to the car and my son's consistent response is "Dad, that's yours."

I enjoyed it more when I had my 81 wagon.... those are just the cleanest and most elegant lines I have seen on a car.... and it had a super repaint job in the factory Metallic Teal color.

I thought I was the only one. Maybe its a Mercedes thing but I always double take on my car when I park it. I polished and waxed my w126 and w123 the other night and when i was done (at 3:30 am) i stood in the garage for a couple minutes and just stared. The w126 front clip is incredible but nothing compares to the rest of the w123 (dont care much for the front of the w123). Especially those rear wheel well arches on the 123.

Forum Confessional...?

Forgive me MB diesel gods, for I too have sinned...

So glad to get this off my chest -- I too look back and check out my W123...

I also, before going to bed, when checking and locking up the house will open the door to the garage and briefly flip the light on and take a "good night" look - it's especially good just after she's been washed...the shine from the chrome grill is comforting...

Now that I think about this, and read the above --- It's kind of sad what our life becomes after a certain age............OK - I need a tall vodka tonic!!
