Leather in W123's was an option, so I believe that car originally had leather.

Right, but the point was that it is leather, and not MB tex, as you originally claimed.

Regardless if it originally came as standard or if it was from a W126, it still is made of leather.

I'll get the VIN and bet you title for title of our W123s. Care to bet?

W126 Leather seats do not look that way, the pleats do not run all the way and are finished off by a border. If the pleats run all the way through on a w126, it is MB tex.

W123's indeed came with a leather option.

I have always had a weak spot for the maple yellow in a 123.

I've had two 240d's that color.

Definitely leather. Love that color combo too. Never knew that you could spec a 50/50 burlwood zebrano wood trim though...

Really? Just looks like the glovebox and center stack trim is burlwood from the picture. I'll belive you, pictures can be deceiving.

Tell me, how do the back seats covered in leather hold up in a wagon? I've got front leather seats (non-original) and tex rear seats.

It would be nice to get this thread as a poll.....lets count which ones come up the most in this one over the next few days and we'll then put it to a proper vote.

Back in the olden days when our cars were new, the Anthracite was very popular. To me Anthracite on Gray is the classic 80's color. At first I did not think I would enjoy the gray on gray in the dark gloom of Seattle, but as it turned out, I loved it. Did 123s come with gray interiors? I remember 126 and 124s with gray, but can't recall a 123 with gray interior.

I too like Maple yellow, on almost any Mercedes.

No love for Pastel Beige?
