I switch between the 3 on all my MB's. What ever is the best price. Lately it has been the motocraft 15-40, same price as the others, but 5q in the bottle.
I use them as long as they are diesel rated, and a good brand name.
I have had no issues, related to that anyway.

Blackestate - I've looked at the MC 15w40 too. But did you notice it's not MB 228 approved?

Bahumbug I just bought 2 gallons of Rotella T 5w-40 for my winter diesel blend.

I would have loved to use Mobil 1

Do you make your own mixture (blend)? I've though about doing that.

No i'm just going straight 5w40 rotella t. It's really cold here in Northeast PA and it has been even colder in the mountains.

I was hoping to keep on using 15w40 until thanksgiving, but that is a pipe dream I need to get out of.

By blend I meant winter motor oil. My bad

Anybody try this Motorcraft Syn oil yet? I don't think it is MB 28 approved either.
