1992 W140 motor mount question
The 300SD needs some new mounts.
1. I noticed that there is a huge difference in price between the available brands. Any insight on the $122 Febi vs the $65 Rein, vs the $45 URO mounts? 2. How difficult a job is this? I assume that I just need to jack up the benz, remove the bolt from mount to the engine, lift the engine slightly with hoist, and then unbolt the existing mounts, replace and rei-install. probably 3 hours max? Sound about right? thanks again

From having replaced the motor mounts on a different benz you will most likely have to disconnect your radiator hoses and driveshaft to transmission or transmission to bellhousing depending oh how manual states to do it.
You will need to unscrew both motor mounts of course in order to hoist up the engine. Pretty involved job but not too complex. But I haven't actually read the proper procedure for W140. I do have W140 as well that might need a new motor mount eventually though.
