Smile Cinnamon Bark Oil?

I then put 5 gal. of clean cinnamon bark oil that I'd acquired along with the car(I have no idea who gave him that stuff) into the tank. Immediately the weather turned colder...I drove around the block and the car proceeded to stop running. I changed the conversion filter and the inline filter. I changed the main filter and added 5 gallons of bio-diesel. All these remedies have improved the situation from the car only turning over to starting but it continues to choke out after less than a minute. I put the car in a garage(outside it is still 40-55 degrees in the day) and have gone out to sit and try to keep it running but it keeps dying.
I've run out of ideas. I'm not a mechanic. I've read a ton on veggie oil and biodiesel and I'm wondering if I just keep trying to start it if it will eventually go again or if I did some kind of bad damage...
p.s. the conversion on the car was done professionally but was, I believe mainly for the temperatures of San Diego. no second tank. I thought I had the temps to still run that veggie oil.
thanks
Hi
Cinnamon bark oil seems to be quite pricy stuff at $5 - $10 per ounce. Used for medicine, flavoring and aromatherphy.

I couldn't come up with anyone using it as diesel fuel.

At $5/oz - five gallons would cost about ..... = $3200. May be the reason.
Joseph

Given these prices, why would anyone burn it instead of selling it?

This was exactly what I was thinking.

CJC: I'm sorry if I started a pile-on over your choice of fuels. But youre driving a 27 year old car. In car years, its your grandma out there in the garage. You wouldnt feed your grandma pizza and slim jims for dinner and expect her to live for very long. I have a grandma of my own in the garage, and I love her to pieces.

Wikipedia cinnamon oil brings us to "cinnamaldehyde" and this quote: "the essential oil of cinnamon bark is about 90% cinnamaldehyde." Since it seems like this is an effective antibacterial agent, I wonder what died in your fuel tank.

Im no organic chemist, but I wonder is there is enough volatile oil in your choice of fuel to even burn at all, let alone in an aging compression engine with (I'm guessing) 200,000 miles on the IP.

You probably havent killed your engine. You will have to remove all of this oil from the fuel system. I suspect you already sense that.

This is a great forum, and lots of people here will help you out. If you dont know much about engines, ask first! Its cheaper!

Oh you do, do you? Come on, you can say you're against it and state your reasons why, just don't be a c*nt about it. Lying helps no one.

So this doesn't apply to my engine? Even though my oil is properly filtered and dewatered and run through a proper two-tank system?
