Biggest spot that Coda every marked (thus far) was the diesel leak from the IP delivery valves back in March --- Good thing I was parked in one of those private lots "near" the airport and NOT at the airport.

That reminded me: Smash blew out the high pressure line to the SLS pump in one of the FRONT 3 visitor parking spaces at one of my customer's location. The owner of this company was notoriously neat. I felt horrible......

Nice work!

Your detention efforts with the 2x4's appear to have failed.

Stella left a huge oil slick on I-5 after I gave that Honda Civic the accordian treatment with the front end.

This is a timely post. Yesterday, I lost 3 quarts after changing the oil and filter in my 300D and the puddle looks just like your pic except the spill was from the firewall and back. I wish I took a pic. The new oil filter was missing the big o-ring and I had to use the old one which was loose. I thought I had it seated but apparently the o-ring slipped and was jammed and cut by the cover after it was tightened. I started the engine and let it run while reving it and before I saw the mess approx 3 quarts were spilled. The leak was spraying into the firewall so not as messy in the engine compartment as in your pic, but what's on the ground is about the same. I also had trouble removing the filter cover like you did, but with a big pair of channel locks I was able to free it by rocking it back and forth a few times. I went to Autozone and bought an oil filter and made sure it had an o-ring and installed it and that did it. The moral of the story is always use a new o-ring which will stay put on the cover and not slip and be cut and jammed!

btw. where are the photos from the recent GTG at the Spruce Goose? Wasn't there a largest oil puddle contest?

Mine absolutely marks its territory, although it's primarily with a transmission fluid drip. That's not to say it doesn't leak motor oil, just that the tranny fluid is at about a 3-to-1 drop advantage. It hasn't been enough for me rectify it yet, just enough to break in my new driveway.

Of course, so does my '00 TJ with PS fluid.

there was an incident when I recently refilled my trans fluid after the fluid/filter change.

I made the noob mistake of putting 6 or so quarts in before firing it up. It promptly deposited a couple of quarts of nice fresh trans fluid on the garage floor.
