Central FL GTG- December 5th 2009
 

We need to have another Central FL GTG before 2009 is over.

So the GTG will be held at Pierres shop again and will start at about 10am.

Potluck and gift exchange nothing too fancy just for fun, more details on this later.

We'll also decide at a later date what we'll do about food and drinks but for now lets start a list

I am afraid that the drive to Titusville is a little far for me just now as I have not yet finished the work on the car. I still need to flush and fill everything and give it a tune up as well as make a few 30 to 45 minute trips to see how she's gonna behave. I'm in West Palm Beach... I wonder if we could get a South Florida GTG off the ground here? Or is there already one and I missed the details.

hahah, its OK. The car still needs work but it runs like a champ.

luckily, winter is my slow season... and usually I camp out at our place in clearwater...

but, I know i have an appointment Dec 8th in Dayton, and we're spending christmas up north this year...

Can anyone assist with installing a window regulator in the front right of the SDL?

we had a bunch of 85s at the last GTG too, including Alfie's 300CD and Tyler's 300D

While were at it....... Does anyone got a line on a 2:88 diff. for an 85?

I found a 3:07 over in Largo. I would like to have a 2:88 though. I really need to get this done the next couple weeks before this thing grenades and leaves me or my wife stranded somewhere.

Put me down as a maybe. I traded the wagon for a 240D and I need to replace the clutch and rear brakes prior to a roadtrip.:)

It seems like a stretch, but would anyone be interested in helping me swap AC compressors during this? I'd leave the belt off of course until I do everything else, it's just be nice to have a third hand and Pierre around.

well, there's a slight chance I'll be bringing a 73 450SEL instead. I offered a guy 500 for one, and I'm waiting to see if he'll take it.
It will need a fuel pump I think and a battery, at minimum...along with some major cleaning.

I'm tentative.... I am going to see if a buddy wants to bring his SD, I think 83 or 84. Probably bring my 85 wagon.


Anyone else from the Jacksonville area? We can caravan down :)

I've had a crazy couple of months - need a get away and road trip. I'm going to see if I can juggle a few things and make the GTG.

84 300D -

Im from Jax, will be driving a 76 300D.

I guess Ill be driving my Lexus to this one.... Ill be there though... Vandals suck!

looking like the 5th is going to conflict with family coming into town :(.
If I can somehow break free I will cruise by, otherwise take some good pictures!!

Would there be a problem doing it the week after? I was scheduled for work =/ Otherwise I can try and give my shift away...

Don't worry the SEL wil get lots of attention.

This GTG will be the first time I have a diesel. I was usually in the minority when I brought the 280CE out.

anyone up for helping with front brakes on my 85 300TD (wagon)?
my front pad indicator has been on for awhile now :( I guess my rotors will need turning as well...does the shop where the GTG is have turning capabilities?

nope, Pierre doesn't have one, you don't turn MB rotors anyway you replace them.

ok pads and rotors :) anyone want to help ?
