Car surging when it's turned off
I have a '97 E300D with 170,000 miles. The past couple of weeks when I shut the car off it will continue to run for a couple of seconds at a high idle.
I am also occasionally getting a Check Engine Electronics warning. Any ideas as to what is causing this? Thanks, Andy |

Strangely, my car, a 1999, just started doing this exact same thing, no answers, but very interested to hear what anyone has to say.

Its the shut off valve... Mine started acting up then leaking. To be sure you should get the Codes pulled to see what the Check Electronics Message is related to..

It could just be one of the O-rings on the SOV. My car did that for a while when I didn't preperly seat the lines after removing them.
