New pencil plugs but lost salt shaker light???

I put pencil glow plugs in the 220d and love them but the salt shaker plug worked once and now is not working like it did. Very dim a couple times and nothing the other times. Is this something I can fix?

I'm guessing the amperage draw thru the system is lower with the pencil plugs, causing the salt shaker not to glow as bright. Is any glow visible on a dark night?
Someone else on here has a similar conversion. (abracadabra or something like that). He should be able to tell you how is salt shaker glows.

I went and reread everything I could find? I am going to put a 10 g wire in the salt shaker. Is all this safe? Please let me know!!! Is it safe to say that as long as I dont go over a three min glow I will be OK? That is how long the relay stays on, right?

Since you installed the pencil glow plugs you don't have the same amount of resistance in system as you did with the old loop ones, so the saltshaker will not glow near as bright because resistance is what makes it glow.

With the pencil plugs you only need to glow for 5-10 seconds when cold, and probably only 3-5 when hot, they're very good plugs.

There is no relay on your car.
