Loose Connections in my Glow Plug Relay - Can They be Tightened?

in my ongoing battle to find out why my car is having trouble starting i've discovered that the connections in the glow plug relay are pretty loose. i can shake the 4 prong and the 5/6 prong quite a bit. i tried jiggling them around one day and started the car and it started up very well.

my question is this: is there a way to make these connections tighter or stronger or do i need to just buy a new relay?

Rather than loose, could it be minor corrosion on the connector pins/sockets? Mine failed to cycle but unplugging and replugging seemed to resolve the problem. Maybe a dab of silicone dielectric grease in the connector would help to prevent the corrosion from occurring again.

If your talking about the male polls that are on the relay, then yes you'll need a new relay. If your talking about the female connectors, you can take the plastic covering apart on the two wire looms and on each wire female connector, you can "crimp" them a little bit to get a tighter contact.

If you need a relay, I got one for ya. Might have the wire connector also, you'll just have to solder them in.
