Should I??? DSS Project

Here's what I have in mind. Please do't be shy to tell me I'm crazy. I found a 1986 Chevy Diesel Stepside. Thought are to lower strip and repaint and label DSS with Chevy SS colors

Any thoughts?

I thought the SS truck came along in the new body style, maybe '89? (I assume you are referring to the SS454 trucks that were painted black with red "SS454" lettering and chrome wheels?)

What is the theme of the project? Are you shooting for a Diesel replica of another truck or a Diesel version of an SS?
