EGR valve location

Good Morning,

Where is the EGR valve located on my 1984 190d 2.2? I've been having a problem. If I'm going up a slight incline and press the fuel pedal all the way down just before she reaches a pretty good rpm rate she begins to miss - kind of like running out of fuel, but I got a full tank. I guess I'll try to change the filters and change this EGR valve - if I can find it. Thanks for your help.

Passenger side of the engine, near firewall, coming off the exhaust manifold.

EGR location

Well, I looked and looked. I just don't see anything on the exhaust pipes, or anything near the fire wall. Does anyone have a picture of where the EGR valve is attached to the engine? Thanks.

^^ see that accordion type tube coming off the manifold?

This is a slightly different engine, but yours is in the same spot.

ps... on mine, it was already blocked off when I got it. You should at least see a stub in its place with a clamp on it or welded unless your car is a euro.

EGR location

My exhaust manifold is clean - it's just the manifold. I don't see anything else in that area. I think my 190 was manufactured Germany. Will the EGR valve be in a different location because of this? Thanks.
