SLS Ride Height Revisited

My SLS appears to be working perfectly other than a 3/4 inch distance in height between the driver side and passenger side which leads me to believe that I may have a collapsed sub mount bushing on one side or one spring may have weakened somewhat. I should check rear diff mount also . . . both accumulators are new along with new z links and functioning sls valve. I should have checked the car height with an unpressurized system as that would offer clues to the height difference - will report back. I did remove access covers and checked the tightness of upper hose mount connections on strut as well as strut bushing.

so, has anyone experienced significant ride height changes after replacing sub mount bushings?

try to measure both strut lengths...that would be a start i guess. your theory of crushed bushings makes sense. measuring the strut lengths will at least eliminate the struts if they're the same... which they should since they both share the same pressure.

would opening the bleed valve release the base pressure and let it fall to where it was just resting on the mounts and springs ? then you could be certain what system the problem is or isnt in.

Strange, now ride height is identical again on both sides???? Weird! I do not think strut is hanging up in any way. When I pulled into my driveway there is a two stage short incline that rocks the car pretty good, just wondering if a submount bushing is the culprit and rocking the car on the driveway incline reoriented the bushing somehow -this is a strange one!

Ride height still fine and holding at exactly 13 inches . . . . perhaps car just needed additional bleeding?

hmmm . . . ride height still fine -thinking now that perhaps there was some slight leakage at upper hose connections and whatever tightening of the joints I achieved created success . . . .
