Fuel pump drain on incline?

Funny thing happened tonight. Went to the drive in. Front end was up hill. When we went to leave. Car wouldn't start, no fuel. Got on the flat it started after about 20 seconds of cranking. Tank is 1/2 full. I'm thinking IP was higher than level in tank.
Any thoughts?

I would be thinking a Fuel Supply problem like an Air Leak that would allow the Fuel in the hoses to migrate back towards the Fuel Tank.
I believe you have a self bleeding fuel supply system so a small Air leak might not be noticed while the Engine is running.
