Just acquired a diesel. Had a 1984 190D way back. This one of course is different and I have some questions:

1. Do these transmissions shift hard?

2. When you are accelerating, does it sound loud and clattery? Don't remember this issue in the old 190D, but then again, it was gutless getting up a hill.

3. Interior parts? Help! Called around, checked web, and seems to be (a) non existent or (b) very expensive

Any leads on Mercedes used parts? Dismantling places?

I have done a lot of cosmetic work on this car, it's a great color combination: Anthracite with Palaminio interior and has 300K miles on it.

Any help out there would be greatly appreciated!

1. Probably has a vacuum leak or needs a modulator adjustment.
2. Yep... There pretty loud compared to the 190.
3. Find the interior parts here. Yes they are getting harder to find, but they are out there.
