Where is the transmission data?

I didn't see the transmission info in my copy of the FSM. I'm losing fluid from somewhere but no obvious leaks. Vacuum modulator? Where is it? Any tricks to fluid & filter change?

Unfortunetly MB doesn't put transmission info in there manuals., at least for the older models.

There are other books that are available that you can buy. Try some searches here to see if you can find titles.

Older PAPER FSM's

There may well be a copy of the Transmission Manual around...
[Mercedes used to publish a manual for each System]
Bentley may (or may have not) been the publishers.

At one time I had a Transmission Manual (Paper) for my '84 SD.

Hi,
I got a trans manual a couple of years ago. its a ATSG for 722.3 /722.4 trans .
have a look at www.transonline.com

or www.atsgmiami.com

the manual is very good. I used it to rebuild trans in a 81 300d a couple of years ago.
hope that helps
