Take a look at this car on eBay. It's pretty unreal

Tell me what you all think about this creation. I can't imagine that it accelerates at any safe rate.

cool

I wonder if its any good in the snow!?!?

My kids are just at the age when they're needing limo service with their friends (9 and 11). I should buy this for the next decade for kid-hauling...I'm half serious...that would be a blast!!

Its only an extra two feet and a seat. How much weight can that possibly add? That car is quite heavy anyway. I bet the extra bit does not slow it down too much. I am half tempted to throw in a bid. If the car was a bit closer to my location I would try to get it. We are going to have another child, that make three. The extra seat would be a welcome addition. The back seat of our 123 is going to get pretty small with three childrens car seats in it.

By the way which mercedes do you think has the widest back seat. We have about 53 inches armrest to armrest in our back seat. Need a couple more inches.

Too bad none of the pics are really big. This is a unique looking machine. I wonder who did the limo conversion. I'd rather drive this than a minivan, but how about a 123 wagon limo? Wouldn't THAT be the ideal kid hauler.

Hmm. Bet the 0-60 times are a few seconds slower than an 87 300SDL -- its only a foot or so longer, won't add much wieght.

Probably has two flex disks, three piece driveshaft.

Probably also not a conversion -- MB has always made limos, but also probably a special order.

Be strange to drive something with that long a wheelbase, though -- no way I could own it, couldn't get it in any of the three driveways!

Its definately a conversion from an outside company. And MB would never throw on that cheesy landau roof!

I don't know if it was done by MB or a coachbuilder, but I have seen somewhere, maybe a diesel MB coffee table book that I have that these were produced. I'm surprised that there's one in the US. Also, did you notice that they claim a six cylinder. I'll bet it has a five. I know that some were even four cylinders.

If I had the extra money for a toy, I'd be interested in having it.

Have a great day,

Ebay Limo

Unusual to say the least, specs under picture list it as a 6 cyl. I am sure this is a typo or ignorance on part of seller. Looks of european rather than US version of 123 was used to create it.

I noticed the velour on the seats.. it does not look like Mercedes velour.. It looks like MB-Tex seats that the tex was taken off and another company put thier velour on.. looks strange.

I've had 3 child seats in the back of the SE. The difficult thing is attaching the seat belt to the buckle while fishing for the clasp between 2 child seats. I'm sure the kids were comfortable.

You can hate minivans all you like, but they're d@mned practical for 3 or more kids. I wouldn't want to find out how my kid would fare in the third row of a TD. Now if only MB would import the Vito.

MB did make a limo version of the 123, but the stretch is behind the rear door. The limo rear door is rectangular since there isn't a cutout for the rear wheel. There was a real 240 limo on ebay a week or so ago. I think the car was in Canada.

I think the base car in this case was a US car since it has a US VIN.
