Short Fused on Fuses...

What type of fuse goes in the 87 300TD. after going through the pain of replacing the headlights. I turn the switch and one side doesn't work... so I look at the Fuse box and I'm missing a Fuse... so, what type does this car use, they look like the standard Glass tube type but I want to be sure before going out and getting it. I know the Amps it needs..

What do the rest of the fuses look like? You don't want the glass tube ones. You want the ceramic body Euro type as seen in the picutre below:

You can order a bunch by clicking on the Fastlane or All Parts Express links above. Here is the All Parts link:

If you need one now, you can probably find the plastic bodied version at your local parts store, but do yourself a favor and order some creamic ones and replace all the old one in there. I won't cost much and it will potentially save you a headache in the future.

Replaced them today, Lo and behold things work! (replaced all the fuses in the box whether they look like they needed it or not) I guess it's sage advice, look at the fuses before anything else, alot of the problems I had were fuse related... now I just got to nail down that pesky Turnoff thing....and motor mounts
