OK this is good to know. From the pics Ive seen the W140 looks narrow inside but I guess i need to get into 1.
So it has the W wiper + passenger side 1? Hmm. kinda strange but ok. So what else should I know before going to look over a 300SD? I know about the block issue and as mentioned I could (time permitting, yeah right) swap the engine from my 87 but Id rather have a 3.5L for the added torque that mule surely needs. Is there any sites I can use to reference information about it? I know virtually nothing about them. Someone said they have power doors, I got scared.

A 603.96 with standard 3.5 issue 55 trim turbo didn't feel to me to be any less able off the line than an SDL. A 3.5 without boost is perkier than a 3.0 with boost across an intersection. Hattie has the right idea - the savings in buying an S320 over a same condition S350 will buy a lot of gas to compensate for the mpg deficit, which isn't all that much on the highway because the S320 has overdrive. Plus you have the option of LWB which is the proper way to enjoy a W140. Sixto 87 300D |
