  • The dash light is for the front brake pads. It lights up when a sensor gets to close to the rotor. The sensor is covered in plastic, when the pads wear down and metal hits metal the light goes on. Be sure to replace the sensors when you do pads. (the switch with a similar symbol is unrelated)
  • The top left switch with the broken circle is for recirculation. When its on the climate control is a closed system. It takes air from the cabin, heats or cools it, and pumps it back into the cabin instead of bringing in fresh air from outside.
  • The top right switch should be the rear dome light and reading lights if you have them.
  • The first climate control switch (two filled arrows) tells the climate control to blow through the upper and lower vents
  • The second (one filled arrow one empty) is lower vents only
  • The third is lower vents only and "economy". In this mode heat is normal but the AC won't turn on, if set to cool only fresh air will come in.

Thanks! Another question for you, Is the heating/ac automatic depending on how you have the thermostat set?

Yes! Something I've always loved about my benz. You just set the temperature you want and it chooses what to do to get you that temperature.

Yes. The left three buttons will engage the A/C compressor if needed (the leftmost is the defrost, which runs the compressor, fan, and heat full blast). The economy mode won't engage the compressor.

The settings on the dial on the left are temperatures in celcius. Hopefully that's what you're getting 22C ~= 72F

Directly under the speedo should be the outside temperature display. It's backlit when the headlights are turned on.
