My adjustment screw just got broken by a friend and I am 60 miles from home. Can I remove the alda and plug it so that I can get home. Help please

Here is a thread that discusses that aspect - I don't have time to analyze right now, but I think it's what you need to do. On my 603 engine the ALDA has been removed before I purchased it and the car runs great. If you plug all of the right vacuum lines it should work for you too.
