Just a quick question. I purchased the Elring block gasket set P/N: 617-010-12-05 and just wondered if someone new what all the gaskets were for. There's no list and some look very unfamiliar. The engine is a bare block right now so I would have thought I would have seen all the gaskets in their original home. Thanks!

Thats the one thing that really bugged me about that set. There's no ID list... Just make comparisons and cross your fingers.

I came to the conclusion via FSM that there are enough variations in seals and gaskets throughout the duration of manufacture for these engines that Elring just decided to throw all the extraneous gaskets in there and sell it for a wider range of applications.
