i want to disconnect kds to see if my shift issue is coming from it.ive begun looking for it,is it directly below gas pedal-with elect connector,anyone have info or pic.

Pull up carpet and pads. It's right there. About 1" 25 mm tall and diameter. Small 2 wire plug. Or just pull fuse 5.

I don't know what would happen if the solenoid valve was mechanically jammed or if it can even fail this way.

thanks ,symptoms can be that trans will not shift out 1-2 gears,it remains jammed in low gear.
