"rather than the outdated R12 coolant"

I didn't know R12 was used in the cooling system...I could have sworn I put it in my AC system.

50 bids. Winning bid $20,300. For a slushbucket 240, and a red one at that. I don't get it.

This is the good 'ole capitalistic US of A... some affluent MB enthusiast with endless cash flow can afford that 37K mile 240D (if the bids are real & not a scam or shills).
Petty cash, what recession?

That is one of the nicest 240's I've ever seen! The price is crazy, but still, that is one mint car, looks like it has been in a museum since new!

As hard as it may be to believe someone would pay that much for the car, I have to think the final bid must be for real. Ebay charges their fee based on the sale price of the item. If the seller faked the bid, they'd be on the hook to eBay for a pretty large listing fee to have "bought" their own car...

I thought ebay (now) has a flat fee of $125 when car is sold, no matter what the final bid price is...

That's some nice paint.

Even on this car the interior door trim is puckering and rippled. I guess that's just the way it is with these cars..

If so then its different than it used to be. Used to be a sliding scale - a percentage that decreased as the sale price went up.
