I'd disconnect the rod from the pedal to make sure the pedal itself was not stuck and work downstream from there.

When I had this symptom on a tractor which had sat for a while I started in gear and let it get started moving and applied a quick and firm brake pedal... had to do it a couple of times ... that freed it up and no problem since...

I would get under the car and look at the little push rod that goes from the slave cyliner (I think this car has one) to the clutch fork.
If it were very loose it might fall down and be pushing aginst the casting instead of the piston inside. (This is just a theory. I have never had this happen).

Slave cylinder was frozen, replaced it nd bleed the system. all is good. Sorry I forgot to update
