Mercedes and trailer. Now how much can these turbo W123 pull?

I was at the south PNP to take some pictures of the 84SD Clunker with the valve cover removed, to see what damage was done to it. this thread

www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=265836

Took the pictures, pulled a few things off the Clinker, pulled a few good front carpets off some new 126 Clunker arrivals. BS`d with a guy pulling a 5 spd out of a BMW, loaned a few tools to him. can you believe some one just installed a new clutch and pressure plate etc... and then the car is at PNP?

so then Iam running out of time and need to get to the north PNP to pull as set of none EGR manifolds off a 78 W116 SD.

I drive in and park, and here is this poor old neglected MB, with this POS PU box trailer. and with her Fanny dragging on the ground. this thing sure must be fun to drive.

I go inside, and 6 cars down from the SD Iam working on, are 2 scroungy guys pulling wheels and parts off a MB. Must be them .

I tried to talk to them. but no avail.

Enjoy the pictures

Yeah, the trailer was empty, but the inside of the car looked like they live in it. full of crap, hard telling what is in the trunk. maybe a spare 617

Notice the truck in the back ground? a new MB arrival.

Wow, they either had that thing loaded with about 1000lbs of junk, or the springs/shocks are super shot! Poor car.

Seeing cars like this gives me hope that my car should give at least 100,000 more nearly trouble free miles. Despite the condition, good for them, for keeping another one on the road.

I understand the transmission is the weak link, but don't know of any limit.

I'd worry more about STOPPING, than going!

Good to know I have more room to let the back sag! I took 500 Bibles up to a new church that my church had printed last weekend in Taos, NM, and I thought we were dragging pretty low in the back . . . but atleast we could see the sun better! And we had traction for the snow we got too!

Wish I had ONE PNP withing 75 mi!

Sad but at least she's still going.

Those PNP pictures give new meaning to the term "Euro-trash."

First off, I love the pristine white 240, and with the Doggie, Gatta love a dog lover. Great shot and partner.

I also like the juxtaposition of the scripture on the rear window, just below the fuel stop namesake......

I did some hauling yesterday with my 85 wagon and a very stout ex U Haul utility trailer. I had about 175 bricks on that trailer. Each brick weighs about 9 pounds. Thats close to 1600 pounds plus the trailer plus me at 6ft 220 and my buddy and 6,8 and maybe 350. Hardly even knew the trailer was back there. I wish I had installed the hitch a long time ago

Got any hitch pictures? I've seen shin buster "class 1" hitch but like the reciever type hitches where it allows you to remove it when not in use. Anybody got one they can show me?
