85 300td wagon front brake job

I looked on fastlane for front rotors and they look like hats. I remember doing front brakes on my previous 82 wagon and they did not look like the pics on fastlane. I remember having to mess with front wheel bearings and such. Same setup as my 82 or is the fastlane pic just a stock photo?

what's a good shopping list for a "complete" front brake job?

I was told, that when the front brakes are done it's wise to replace the sensor

The hats are correct but they bolt to the hub and require at the least a repack on the wheel bearings.

I replace the sensors with every pad replacement, but they can be reused if you don't mangle them when pulling them out of the old pad.

Make sure to consider replacing your brake hoses, otherwise, rotors, pads and grease for the bearings are all you need.

EDIT: Remember that you need TWO sensors for each front wheel.

I haven't had much luck getting sensors out without buggering them up. They're cheap, I'd just replace and be done with no hassle. Just did this, the rotor bolts are 10mm allens. I used an impact to get them out, and did it on the workbench. Remember locktite when putting them back together.
