Rear Tail light issue

I searched the forums and can't find anything to help me so here goes..
My 83 300D has driver's side tail light burnt out. I open up panel in trunk and all four bulbs are out. I step on brake pedal and third from right (larger bulb) comes on. All bulbs have filament intact, nothing broken, no black marks on bulb. I replaced all non working bulbs with brand new except for tiny one in middle (have to buy one didn't have spare). Still no bulbs working except for brake light bulb. Is it because the small bulb is still burnt out and I didn't replace it, would that affect all the rest? The small bulb seems to work with brake pedal according to the way the passenger side lit up when I had that panel off. Is there a fuse that runs this circuit? Or could it be a problem in the wiring? I removed passenger side light panel and all are working on that side. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hey Bostondiesel I'm pretty sure there will be a blown fuse - it is worth checking anyway.
