I burn diesel in my torpedo heater, has more BTUs than kerosene. Jet A is basically aviation kerosene, burns it fine also (but less heat per gallon than diesel).

Do those heaters run as clean in a closed-shop environment? Seems like it'd be more smoggy.....my ReddyHeater Propane unit can run for 15 mins and have the garage up to 75F....with no smell or pollution....and it will run just over 12 full hours on a single 20lb propane cylinder....so its cheap to run.

I just paid $3.09/gal this weekend at the pump (before taxes were added).

This was about the same price I paid last winter for it.
