Serpantine Belt conversion
We are installing an 84 300 Turbo Diesel into a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Jeep had Serp belt. Would like to keep the ac compressor, ps pump, alternator, etc off the jeep. Question is can we find a serpantine pully for the crank and water pump?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |
I highly doubt it.....unless the pulley from a 603 engine will fit on a 617....
....I'd keep the MB P/S Pump and alternator....and try to figure out a way to run the A/C with a V-belt....probably a lot easier that way. I sure hope the engine came from a wrecked or rusted out car and not a real nice one. :o |
I concur. Probably not doable. The issue won't just be the belt but the mounts. You'll need to use the accessories off the 617.
