Fast lane or Parts Express

What is the differance? Are they the same people or totally different? One of them has accumulators for $114.00 (Febi) the other $148.00 (Corteco) Is there any differance between the two? I have also seen ABC Accumulators for $89.00 somewhere, Ebay I think they any good?

Both FastLane and AllPartsExpress support this forum.
The parts come from totally different sources.
The suppliers we buy from for AllPartsExpress are not the same as the suppliers we buy from for Fastlane.
As a result the prices and brands are different.
Consider them to be 2 separate stores.

Fast Lane and All Part is owned by the sponcers of this Site/Forum.

There use to be just Fast Lane, then a yr or so back came up with All parts X.

They have two different suppliers/Vendors for the parts source. that is the
reason for the price differences.

The parts sold is what keeps this site up and running.

Febi and Corteco are top brand names with good quality = I trust both and will use the lower price.

That confused me a bit too. Isn't Phil the contact guy for both ? Each has the same phone number IIRC.
Are there significant differences between parts availability? In other words certain parts available from one but not the other? When you call phil rather than search online is he checking both automatically?

I believe that although much of the parts listing do overlap, the reason for two supplies is because not all parts can be found through just one. Just check both when looking for parts, it allows you the opputunity to shop around when buy through the forum - even if just a little.

"tankowner" is correct.

What you see in the on-line catalog is microscopic compared to what "we" has access to.

We are always shopping for the best possible price.

The online catalogs in Fastlane and AllPartsExpress are a convenience but not always the best deal.

Always call or e-mail for the best deal. we have access to many more sources for parts and can often do better than what appears in the catalogs.

Use online shopping at either place, to get your list.

Then email Phil with list. He'll shop and get U a good deal and U won't have to worry about getting parts of inferior quality. He's pretty good at it. It's his job. He does his job well.

ie; Ordered radiator today and he saved me a bunch and I got free shipping to boot!

His parts are shipped from all over so he has many sources.

Note: Radiator for a MBW (not the Benz).

That is not always the case, I have bought Febi products that were made in.....China and were even visually sub-par in quality. In my case it was 617 motor mounts.

That's exactly what most of our longtime repeat customers do. They want the best deal and they get that by letting Phil find it for them.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that Phil is ALWAYS the lowest cost parts dealer out there. All I am saying is that Phil can often do better than the catalogs.
