Vacuum pump block off plate?

I have searched several sources, and looked for this part, but obviously have not tried hard enough...

I am in the process of putting an OM617 into my Unimog, and want to delete the vacuum pump since I have no use for it on my motor. I have seen block off plates made to cover the hole where the vacuum pump normally goes, but I cannot find a part number or source.

I am also looking for a plate that would cover up the hole where the hydraulic pump on a 300TDT would normally go, on the head.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Search on here for the picture ForcedInduction posted of the hydraulic pump blocking plate he put on his TD motor. I think he made it.

Iam not so sure you can search on his name, when he left, he deleated all his info, he is listed as guest. though his post/threads are still in the archives.

You could just buy some 1/4 inch Aluminum plate and make them. The Aluminum is easy to cut and drill.

I second this, and you could likely use a normal vacuum pump gasket and the original bolts too.

Hi
I seem to remember that ************** sells the blocking plate for the
SLS pump. Shouldn't be that hard to make yourself. You could try laying the pump on cardboard and spaying with WD40 to mark the outline and bolt pattern. Use that as a template for cutting from aluminum.

Didn't I read here somewhere that you can take the interior parts out of the vacuum pump and just put the cover back on with plugs in the vacuum port(s)? The vacuum pump becomes its own block-off plate. Nothing to measure or cut. Keep the pieces in case the engine ever gets transplanted back into a car.
