lift pump rebuild kit

Where can I get a lift pump rebuild kit for my 83 DT? I couldn't find it in Fastlane. Is it a dealer item only? This is the pump that draws fuel from the tank to the IP,not the priming pump. I figure it's probably the original and could use a rebuild.

Thanks, is there a test procedure and spec for the lift pump to see if it needs a rebuild?

after doing some reading / research on this site.. I couldn't find a good suggestion on how to test the lift pump.

I believe if you maintain steady fuel pressure from full tank to empty tank and have ruled out the possibility of leaks, then you can conclude your lift pump is in good order without removing it from the vehicle.

search for specs and the in the fsm for fuel pressure limits.

Someone did within the last 4 months.
I remember reading the hooked a gauge up between the Lift Pump Outlet and the Fuel Filter Inlet.
However, the writer said that with a regular gauge the needle jumps around too much. The writer made some sort of "air Column" (they use them in plumbing) to dampen the fluctuations.
I think it was Brian who recommended using a Liquid Filled Gauge to dampen the needle fluctuations.

I wanted to check mine and drilled and tapped an extra filter inlet Banjo Bolt that I had (see thumbnail).
I also found that the needle on a regular Gauge fluctuated too much. I am waiting for a lot of 3 liquid filled gauges (0-100 psi) I bought on eBay to come and will test again when they arrive.
After you have you setup there is a procedure in the FSM to follow. (I also think this test should be done with a new or near new Spin-on Filter as I think a plugged filter could throw part of the test off.)

there are different kits for the NA & the turbo engines, so i assume the pumps internals are slightly different, the question is, will a pump from a NA work on a turbo motor. I have a NA pump laying around that i would like to rebuild and fit on my 85td so i dont have any down time.
