What is this line connected to the IP?

This line looks essentially the same as the other plastic fuel lines that run from the IP to the fuel filter. But in the EPC, I don't see it. The end on the IP goes into the IP just to the left of the place where the IP timing tool would plug in.
The other end is sort of odd. It's hard to see, but it looks like it plugs into the side of the engine block directly behind where the vacuum pump bolts to the front of the block.

I've marked in red on the image where the line is.

On mine that line that goes from the Block to the Fuel Injection Pump is the one that delivers the Crankcase Oil to the Fuel Injection Pump. So that part would appear in the Lubrication/Oil Supply section of the EPC (I have only viewed the Russian EPC).

I have that too and can't find anything about it either.
Ah, I was looking for a fuel line.

While we are on the subject of the IP oil supply line. Has anyone heard of
this line breaking or leaking? there is a lot of hot oil going through it in two
or three hunderd thousand miles.

Maybe it should be replaced as a preventative measure like the oil cooler
lines. If this IP line broke, there could be a loss on an engine from this
also. Just something to think about.

I broke one of the clear (brown) plastic lines from the fuel filter to the IP,
snapped off like a pretzle. they get this way after 20 - 25 yrs. I replaced
it with a new one. was amazed at how pliable a new one is, and clear.

Funny you should ask this. My "lubricating oil line" to the injection pump broke today. I believe it was leaking earlier.

I have the front end on ramps and am in the middle of a coolant flush. The coolant system is full of a water and neutral cleaner solution (Liquid Shout). I checked for water leaks after starting the car and oil was pouring out!

I sent an email to Phil asking about replacement line, Has anybody else had this problem?

There was a thread not too far back, where the guy took his car in for repair. the doofus mechanic broke the line, and patched it with fuel/vac line. It separated and he had oil loss.

I haven`t heard of one failing. I don`t know if the material in this black line is the same as the fuel lines coming/going from the spinon filter. I broke one of them a couple yrs ago, snapped like a potato chip.

The price of this little black oil line, should be far cheaper than the price of a new engine should it fail.

Thanks. I've got a call in to the dealer as well for the line. It measures 0.235" O.D. I found some black plastic air brake line at NAPA that measures 0.250" and I might try it until I get the replacement line.

This way I can finish my coolant flush, though I might not drive cross country.

Ha. In that beautiful part of Texas, you've got to "drive across country" just to go the the grocery store.
