87 300dsl rear vent blows cold

The rear vent, thats under the arm rest, blows cold air regardless of where the temperature is set. It also blows alot of air. I currently have the vent shutoff but it would be nice to get heat out of it in the winter as I live in Toledo, Ohio.

It blows cold air (only) because it is designed to do that -- fresh cold air or a/c in the summer. Heat comes out from under the seats. IIRC, folks have discussed a conversion to provide heat from that center rear outlet but I don't think anyone has successfully done it.
