Should the glow plugs have a washer for the elect. connector?

one of the wires was spinning with the nut on the glow plug(when removing), should there be a washer between the nut and the electrical wire terminal?
Thanks

Yes, but they are not split type washers. The are a thin flat spring washer bent it short of a slight "U" shape.
However, I cannot find any pics to prove that.
The only Glow Plugs that I know of that come with them are Champion (at least the ones on my Volvo came with washers and nuts) and the deadly Autolite Glow Plugs.

Replacements. The 1st choice would be the wavy Flat Washer as they can be reused more often.
2nd choice would be the one circled in Red.
The last Star type one could be used but the do not hod up as well; the little tips break off and the washer itself sometimes cracks.

I already got an answer and I had not ever posted the complete Post.

A flat washer would not act as a lock washer.

I've pulled a lot of glow plugs, and I've never seen a washer on them...
the wire does stick to the nut often, you just have to hold onto the connector when loosening the nut.
I like DieselGiant's method for installation of the wires... put the nuts on the gp's first, then notch the rings on the wires so you can slip them on with the nuts already on the GP's waaaay easier than fighting the nut on with the wires installed!

Mercedes did not install them at the factory or dealer.
There is no washer listed in the EPC, except for the naturally aspirated, loop/series glow plug...

That said:
It will not hurt to use the suggested washers.

Have a great day.
