Looking for a Good NorthBay Wrecking Yard for '80's Mercedes

Anyone in Northern California know of a good wrecking yard for '80's MB's? I went to the Pick n Pull in Fairfield . . . disappointing. I heard of a yard near Windsor (north of Santa Rosa) that is supposedly good -anyone know of this place? C'mon, give it up!

I have gone to Acme foreign auto wreckers (707-546-6816) in Santa Rosa. They had a lot of MB stuff but depending on who I talked to the price varried.

You could also call Silver Star 866-307-7300 but they are in Fresno so you might have to ship.

There is Silver Star recycling in Rancho Cordova. take Hwy 50 east out of Sacramento to Sun Rise. take a right, and about 4 miles on the right is a ton of wrecking yards. the 2 Silver Stars are probably connected. there is also a PNP there also.

Warmblood where you located? there are the 2 PNP in San Jose.

The Moss Landing PNP has one W123. and a few W126. think there is one 300SD. and one W116 300SD.

Windsor is good, I've been there many times. Usually one or more 123s but they are becoming scarce and 124s are more frequent now. Still worth a call or a trip.

James, I don't remember the address but you exit US-101 "Redwood Highway" at Arata Lane on the north side of Windsor and go a couple blocks north of the intersection using the frontage road on the west side of the freeway.

Google "Pick and Pull" for exact location and phone numbers. The European section is back on the left side of the yard. Lots of Volvos, BMWs, and Mercedes, some Jags and occasionally an Alfa.

No, you have to tell them what you want although they let me walk out in the yard and point out stuff.

Oh, so not a pick and pull . . . . I am always looking for various tiny trim pieces, special screws etc. which is why I like the pick and pull style of yard - I will check out this yard to see what they have regardless, thanks mates!

Yes, the Windsor and other P&P locations are great for "bits and pieces." I always go home with a bunch of lamps, screws, clips, etc. The various unique (and expensive) plastic fasteners that Mercedes uses are special treats to find.
