Question 240D Driveshaft Removal

Hello.
I am trying to remove the driveshaft from the rear differential in my 1978 240D. My manual says there is a pin to remove after I have pushed it forward a bit. I have yet to see it. Does anyone have any tips for popping it out of there? I have sold the transmission (Manual) and this is the very last piece that the person is requesting. Any tips please forward them to me.
Thanx
Sam

I don't know anything about any pins, but when I took the ds off of a rear diff on an SD, it took a 3 ft. crowbar to pry it off after taking out the bolts.

Unbolt the two center support bolts, that's it. Then you need to realize that the flex disc tends to stick like glue to the driveshaft even after it's bolts are removed. I've used a chisel on them before...

Perhaps the pin they're talking about is on the driveshaft flange going thru the middle of the flex disc. You're not there yet, and it probably doesn't matter much with no transmission in there and an unbolted center support, letting you slide it forward as much as you want.
