Alda fit question: 617 versus 603

I have a 603. Question is if the 617 Alda will fit for the 603 and vice versa?
Well the real question is- I am intending to manufacture caps for closing the 'hole' in the Alda after removal. Does the cap fit both 'holes' for 603 and 617?

I understand the difference is the 617 has a screw on top, the 603 doesn't, but inside they're twins. So to completely remove and block it off, should be the same size cap.

Always good to hear, Martin. I believe there is a market for them, I will have see if I can find a picture of mine installed. It is a very nice piece once installed.

And yes, both have a set screw atop. I had mine maxed out on the 603 prior to simply removing the thing. Same with my 617.

why would you want to remove your alda and cap the hole? what's the benefit you get from that?
