Yea this issue there is do I buy a new regulator or swap the whole thing on warranty...

I found a brand new Bosch Alternator, no core charge. Ordered it, I am going to take this cheap reman back next week and see if i can get a refund. I've bought a lot of parts from the guys so maybe they'll be friendly about it.

I had a recent charging problem with my 124. Autozone tested and said it was the alt. In looking closer we found one of the large wires had almost broken where it goes around a corner. Only two strands were still connected. Less than 2 amps were getting to the battery. Check your wires not just the connections. It's a lot cheaper than an alt.

I took the wires off the alt yesterday and they really don't look that bad, i'm going to have them test this one when i go to pick up the new one, so if it's good I'll go from there.

When you guys are wiring directly to the battery does it matter which of the two leads you rewire to he battery? Just curious. I'm going to take it out to have it tested it's just easier then I know it's the alternator ans not wiring.

Thanks!
