81 126, push heat, no blow???????????
i have a 81 300sd that ive owned for a while now and am pretty inclined with mechanically, when i push any buttons on the climate control i get nothing? and it comes on when it feels it wants to, not sure if this is a blower motor? i have fixed the burned out a c fuse in the fuse panel and the mono valve was replaced before i got the car, im not all that educated to troubleshooting this cars hvac system, any help would be awesome.......

whats the difference between a 123 blower motor and 126, kinda off topic, also since i have your wiseness, whats the difference between antennas from 123 and 126, i know the mast in the trunk is smaller, but can they interchange at all?

Or, you can take your chances with a cheapie on e-bay..........BTDT.........you get one or two years typically...........but suffer all kinds of other non-functional behaviors. |

Cannot tell you the differences in antennas, either..........but, I'd bet that they do not interchange. |
Could also be bad brushes in the blower motor I think. I know the 123 and 116 blower motors are not interchangeable so I suspect neither is the 126.

If the motor is turning on and off when it feels like it then could it possibly be some type of regulator. I believe that there is a temp sensor that turns the motor on and off. When you put the thing on defrost does it kick on?

Might be the blower control unit. check all your connections under the right side dash. there is a blower motor controller and a temperature control unit. Either one could affect blower speed. You need to check them both according to the Climate Control Manual. Aren't the blower motor resistors on the fenderwell? Check the connections there too.
