Broke my alternator belt tension adjustor
Today while replacing alternator belts, I broke the tension adjustor at the 13mm head.
If I can get the belts to the currect tension, will tightening down the two bolts hold it? Or is the tension adjustor required?

Should work, at least temporarily. Use some belt dressing if it's a problem.

I bent up my "L" bolt and just replaced it with a regular bolt. Used pry bar to get the belts tight and then tighten everything - no problem since. Joseph |

The two belts have quite a bit of crankshaft wrap and don't need much tension for the alternator load. Tightening them so you've got 1/2" deflection in the center is more than adequate.

There are millions of vehicles on the road with alternators secured by only two bolts.
