I'd remove and plug the delivery line from the brake master cylinder reservoir to stop fluid from running into the clutch master cylinder and then remove the line at the slave cylinder and pump the clutch to empty the system as much as possible.

Thank for the clarification on the pressure. I'm a total newbie with this car. (Although I'm finding this car isn't as complicated as it seems)
My other concern is that the slave cylinder leaked brake fluid around the transition. Should I be worried about any corrosion and if so how do I clean it up to avoid any problems? The inside of this car is suspiciously clean. Not even a drop of oil anywhere. I would hate to see something like a little bit of brake fluid cause serious problems in the future. Also, if I'm going to be draining some brake fluid out would it be wise to just replace all of the fluid? If so what is the best way to do it?
