Electrical woes.....
I have a 93 300SD,left it sitting without starting for about 2 months and the battery went dead. After jump starting it the instrument cluster stopped working, the only thing still working is the temp gauge.A couple days later we disconnected the battery and recharged it when I drove the car a little while later everything was working normally. The next day when I started the car no instruments again. Also when I turn on the key several of the idiot lights blink 3-4 times quickly.I have checked all the fuses and the output on the alt. and all is good.Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated, thanks.

Ground Strap engine to body
there is a ground from the engine to the frame, on the 123 it is where the trans and engine bolt together. not sure on your model. make sure it is
clean on both ends. Problem I had, is there was paint on the adaptor plate not giving me a good ground. made the temp gauge jump up and down, or just peg to the top. also the battery light would stay on with eng off and key removed. Charlie
