83 240 D, lost in dashland
83 or 85 240 D, can't figure out how to break the linkage to the fresh air vent in the heater box. Anyone done it before.

I'm not for certain, but I think the metal linkage should just pop out of that plastic part. The end of the plastic piece, opposite the end of the linkage, should be hollow, and should allow the linkage to snap out.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Line of sight, screwdriver, 2nd hand. I need 2 of three in there, and I can only get 1 in.

I hear ya, dash work can be tough. Lots of working by feel, and scratched up hands. A pair of pliers might do the job if you can get them in there and squeeze the metal end sticking out, to get it out a little then I will come out easier. They kind of snap in, so if you can get it out a little it will slide the rest of the way out a little easier.
