Still smoky.....
Ok, so I changed the valve guides, adjusted the valves, overhauled my injectors, adjusted the valves, flushed the power steering, flushed the SLS; an she still smokes.
Compression after a 3 week soak in Mystery oil seems to have dropped a little; but the car is more responsive......after I fix the exhaust and drive her about 50-60mi we'll see if things settle in a bit more. What might I have missed..... |

Would be useful to know what sort of car. Is it on WVO? When the head was off to do the guides what did you see in the bores? Power steering & SLS has nothing to do with exhaust smoke unless the fluid was leaking onto it.

Apparently, you have started a previous thread with some sort of smoking problem in some type of Mercedes vehicle. You return to the forum and start a new thread and expect all members to remember the specific vehicle, the details of your adventure and your smoking problem. Your expectations are a bit unrealistic and I would suggest that you return to your original thread where you must have delineated the model of the vehicle and the description of the problem in greater detail. |
