Milestone for "mercy" the 240D

I'm very proud to say "mercy" our trusty 240D turned over 300,000 miles earlier today!!.We bought it with 270,000 2 years ago.
Like the tortoise from that famous story,it may be slow but it always gets you where your going.
There is disagreement in the family regarding the cars nickname.My wife says it's short for Mercedes.I think it is short for "mercy this car is slow!"
Either way we love her and hope for many thousands more miles.

Congrats! There are a couple "mercy" names floating around in the forum(s).
A C123 by a youngster and a R129 by a veteran, to name a few...

Congrats ! May you look forward to another 300,000 miles with a minimum of trouble !!! Just remember most other cars that age have now been crushed !! These diesel Benz's, when looked after dont know the meaning if wearing out!!!
