W123 alternator bolt missing
My 1978 300D seems to be missing the bolt that secures the adjustment track for the alternator. For the time being I've got a long piece of metal holding it together (hardly a permanent fix but it gets me by...for now). Can anyone tell me what size it is or where to get a replacement?

There are two different types of bolts ... my 78 240D has this: http://www.allpartsexpress.com/item.wws?sku=MBZ082741&itempk=68162&mfr=Genuine&weight=0.25. I got it at the dealer for $16 I think. I couldn't tell you the PN off the top of my head, but I can try to look it up when I get home from work later.
The other type of adjustment bolt, which seems to be more common, is more expensive, and is L-shaped ... you can also find it on Fastlane and Allparts Express. Or at the dealer.

My adjustment bolt is fine, it's a mount bolt that secures the adjustment track. I can post a picture.

Oh, sorry. I'd have to look at the bracket; I can't picture it.
