87 TD Trans cooler line
so, the line for the Transmission thats just under the radiator is just about to bust... is there any way that I can support this hose by putting something around it? I'm waiting on injectors before I go in for work. I'm using about a quart of fluid every 5 days or less...

Cut the hose at the leak, if not at a end fitting. Put a piece of tubing inside and use two hose clamps to secure.

In an emergency , late night road side fix, we have taped the trans cooler lines with electrical insulation tape. Make sure the spring protector is out of the way, it needs to be clean of oil, as you wind the tape on, make sure its very tight, stretching the tape. You need at least 10 layers of tape. if its leaking where the flexible hose joins the fitting, you need to tape over the fitting as well.
Its more work to do this than the 5 minutes to replace the hose!! Cant you just call in and have then do the hose while you wait? When you replace it do both hoses.
