Fuel filters is pretty much always STEP ONE!!
This was my first read of this thread and all the way down I keep seeing all these suggestions, which are fine further down the line AFTER fuel filters.
Somebody wanted to go "tank strainer" before fuel filters???
Those suggesting the fuel filters had you going in the right initial direction.
I hope you get many more miles out of that #14 head before you have to deal with it.
Glad you are back purring down the road!!

glow plugs...

Just got back in from checking the glow plugs out.

From the connector at the main relay:

1 - 0.8
2 - 0.85
3 - 0.81
4 - 0.82
5 - 0.82
6 - 0.81

From what I've read, and seeing as though I didn't adjust for my meter's resistance (Used a Fluke 289), I think I'm ok.

Looks like I'll just count my blessings and keep adding on the miles. I thank everyone for their help.
